Ultimania Omega scan *translation completed*

Translation of the "Balflear vs. Al-Cid" column from FF XII Ultimania Omega completed.

I'm hoping to find some time during the holidays to read this book and check on what they say regarding such scenes as Phon Coast. If there's anything interesting, I'll scan and post it with a translation.

But now on to the fun part *g*






The sentence I was talking about is the last one of the main text. And I'm happy to say I did understand correctly the first time around (I wasn't sure about the term "chokkai") :p

This is how the whole thing reads:

"Balflear gets in a bad mood each time Al-cid makes an appearance. He usually seize the initiative, but he appears disgruntled as Al-cid goes and takes it all from him (note: I am not sure at all about that sentence. Basically, I think they mean that Al-cid takes the spotlight and the leading man status from him :p). Does he (Balflear) also dislike Al-Cid for openly (as in "publicly") making passes at Ashe?"

Captions:

"Kissing Ashe's hand Al-cid sends words of praise, setting teeth on edge. Other than Balflear's displeasure, Penelo too reacts to what she sees."

"Ashe seems not wholly unpleased by Al-cid's loving words, and Balflear frowns (or scowls). Fran watches the two with great interest."

(note: I would have said with great amusement, if her face is anything to judge by :p)

Please, if anyone has good knowledge of japanese, feel free to point out any mistake I may have made. Especially in the second sentence for which I know the translation isn't exactly accurate
